Speakers Bureau
Are you a member of a club or organization that looks for entertaining speakers? Our Society has qualified people ready to speak to service clubs, business groups, churches, small gatherings, or large events anywhere in the West Valley. We adapt the presentation to fit the time you specify. The program can be "formal" or "interactive" with visual artifacts. There is no charge for this service.
Here are the titles of special programs that are available for presentation to your group:
"Cotton Bolls to Golf Balls" (Events leading up to the opening of Sun City.)
"We're Here to Serve You!" (The earliest Sun City businesses)
"The Good Old Days of the Early Years" (Life in Sun City from 1960 to1970)
"From Lizard Acres to Lush Oasis" (The history of Sun City West )
"The History of Sun City West" (More detailed list of Sun City West's beginning)
"Why Did They Call it That?" (Naming of places along the Vulture Road)
"Del Webb: The Man, the Company" (The story of Del Webb's amazing career)
Or . . . let us know of a subject of interest to you, and we'll come up with a talk as a service of the Historical Society. An added benefit for your program chairperson!
